Mainly posting to be sure I'm not missing something (because I'm a n00b) but this just doesn't look right. Am I missing something? Shorter projectile with longer COAL is showing compressed with a smaller max charge? Is the 140M that differently built than the 147M?

lol. Welcome to reloading. Data doesn't always make sense and with no way to know whether that data was fired/tested in two different rifles or with two different lots of brass, I don't know what to tell you - except to say that apparent inconsistencies are the norm, and this is largely why you always have to work up your own loads.

I know for a fact that 40 grains of h4350 is not compressed under a 140 eldm at 2.820.

I loaded 44 grains of N160 under 130 tmk’s (.004 shorter than the 140 eldm) at 2.800 literally today and you can still hear the empty spaces.
