I'm in the process of building new saddles for my llamas and looking for someone who makes and sells panniers. Or pannier recommendations?

They aren’t Llama specific but Mountain Ridge Gear makes some quality stuff and has various size panniers. Tailored to Donkeys so not all are huge.

I have a set of his Paklite meat panniers that have worked great on 5 elk. Also have his pommel setup that I like

Check out Sopris Llama Gear. I have my original set of panniers from 1998-still going strong. They are top-notch quality (1,000 cordura I believe), have standard and deluxe models, and the pannier bars w/straps are very handy-allow you to handle the panniers easily when loaded and weigh your loads. They also make some really neat saddles (Roughy) that are specifically designed to protect your llama's back (i.e., bone structure), very durable but light, and much more economical than some of the fancy ones on the market. All of my Sopris gear has withstood many, many treks and several; elk packouts. "Tried and true"

Have have a couple flaming star, wrtl and black thunder. I like the black thunder pannier the best. Quality tough material, wide straps for attaching, enclosure system inside the pannier to keep load from shifting, large cover flap over the main compartment, and easily accessible front and rear pockets. The wrtl are very close second.

I've used homemade saddles with the wilderness ridge pack bags. They work great. It's on the first llama in the train. 992FB079-52B5-4061-A7BD-7915F1EB1730.jpeg

I would contact Bantam Pack and Saddle. I don't see lama items but they do have lama on their list.
I run their goat items and they do great work.
