Lite Outdoors Stove upgrade

I decided I didn’t like how low to the ground my lite outdoors 12” was and struggled with figuring out a better way of amending it. I think I finally came upon a better idea today and it looks promising. This is aluminum angle iron with a mill pass down one length to create a step for locking things together. So far it seems solid but I could use a material with a slightly thicker web to tap rather than use nuts. I’ve ordered another Titanium rod to replace the one I used from the top.

I bought my stove pipe for a super tarp and then bought a sawtooth and was way too cheap to buy a longer stove pipe lol

Final Revision, used a V notch to keep the brackets from twisting and it was a huge improvement, stove is now stable enough to use on slick surfaces.

The standard legs that come on these are an M6x1 but I used a 1/4-20 on mine

Great modification. My buddy and I struggled with this same issue last year, we might have to try this out.

i had the same concern and didnt want the stove that close to the grass. i just got new titanium all thread and replaced the rivnuts with 1/4 20 and cut the all thread into longer lenghts. has worked out well so far

What length body are you running, my issue with the longer all thread was that on my 12”body it made it very tippy because the legs are directed out and also back toward the middle of the stove.

I'm going to tap some aluminum rods and shorten the all thread.....then the extension will be AL instead of steel. The all thread is a major source of the weight.

Aluminum melts at 1250. I want a bit of thermal loss before the al. A bit of dirt and the stub of all thread should do fine.....and I own a machine shop so it's just another day on the machine.
