BudsGunShop had 6.5 PRC locally today. They wanted $89:99 a box for it. That’s a $30 a box price increase since last fall. I was kidding with the salesman that I couldn’t sell it on Gunbroker and make any money on it at that price.

As of now cabelas website is showing hornady precision hunter 143 grain eldx PRC ammo for 57.99 a box.

My Bergara liked it this weekend as well. Tickled that I got 23 boxes at $39/box. Set for a while now. Wish it was a hunting bullet, but for competition it will be just dandy. Hell, I bet the once fired brass will be worth almost what I paid for the loaded ammo!

I did chrono 3 shots out of my Bergara B14 22" barrel + muzzle brake, avg 2783 fps (2774, 2773, 2802). This is almost exactly the same average that the same rifle did with 147gr Hornady ELD-M with a 6" suppressor, and faster than Nosler 140gr BT with a 6" suppressor. I bet I could pick up a little speed with the suppressor, testing that next time out.

Thanks. About 200fps less than the box's stated velocity. Eventually I'll be shooting them out of a 24.3" barrel+ 6.4" supressor.

I'm thinking they likely used a 26" barrel which would jive with what I was getting out of 22" pretty closely I think,
