Lilja Carbon Barrels

Todays Gun world is finally catching up with the rest of our instant gratification lifestyle by stocking parts(when they can keep up). I try to source build parts with the shortest lead times when I can.

However, I haven't used a Lilja in several years because they wouldn't stock barrels so a 3-4 month wait was inevitable.
I've also done about 10 carbon barrels for every steel barrel in the last 4 years.
A few days ago I stopped to talk to Carson and he mentioned they are now doing carbon barrels AND stocking barrels! I hadn't heard because they don't advertise.

If you order a carbon barrel, they take a blank and send it out and have it wrapped by Hell's Canyon Armory. You get it back in about 4 weeks.
Price is about $800 for all lengths/profiles. Weights and details are on their web page.

I'll be giving them a try in the near future.

I've had outstanding performance with other carbon barrels, having another source with a short lead time will be nice.

My smith here in Helena swears by their steel, and I’m now a fan myself. I’ve been leaning towards carbon for hunting rigs so I’m definitely interested in one of theirs! This is good news for sure.

I just realized they had them yesterday as well. I’m going to order one too. I’ll give a report. Does anyone know how many grooves the carbon .30 cal barrels have? I’m guessing 3 since that’s what most of their barrels are but it’s not listed. I’ll call on Monday either way.
