Lightweight scope

I've topped both my Featherweights with Leupold 6x36 (LR reticle) and have been very pleased with their performance- at under 10 oz- it's light :)

Wish ida known about these. I have a fixed 6x swfa ss on my ar, and its really a fantastic scope for the price, i really like it, but its a bit heavier, so i didnt go that route

Swaro Z3 3-9 can't be beat for a no frills all around lightweight scope

I have a leupold vx3i 2.5-8x36 weighs in at 11.4 oz

leupold for sure for lightweight scopes imo

That’s what I have in my mountain rifle, it let me keep the set up just under 6lbs and give me plenty of magnification for what I do with that rifle. It’s also seems pretty durable, it’s gotten josstled around pretty good and didn’t lose it’s zero.

I've got a "as new in box" Swaro 3-9x36 on ebay at a low starting price. Can't find a better scope for your purpose.

Leupold 6x36 With dots

Put one on my M700 ti in 270, great combo at 6lbs 5 ozs. Like they were made for each other.

Like others have said, the Leupold VX 3 in 2.5-8x36 is a pretty good scope. Just like you would expect from a gold ring, it is durable and holds zero. I have not babied it, and it has held up. I feel confident on elk out to 400. Full disclosure, antelope look pretty small at that range. That's probably to be expected.

Lightest practical scope is Leupold 2-7x28 Ultralight @ 8.3oz on a postal scale.
Best overall for weight vs quality/clarity Leupold Vx III 2.5-8x36

I learned the hard way that anything Leupold weighs less than anything else in it's class. My VX-1 3-9x40's are just 11 oz. and have better optics, eye relief and FOV than anything else in their price range, and are at least 2 oz. lighter, if not 3 or 4.

If one is looking for a lightweight scope I have a 2-7x28 Leupold ultralight I am looking to offload. Likely post it in the for sale section here in the next couple weeks.

I've been loving the VX2 Ultralite 3-9x33 (8.9 oz), and have been looking at getting a Maven RS2 or SWFA ultralight for my next rifle to compare

looks like a few outfits jumping into the lightweight scope arena with Leupold, be interesting to see how they compare

Old thread, but I'll throw out my rec for the Razor HD LH. They can be had for around $500 (check Amazon!) and have superb glass. My 3-15x42 with side parallax adjustment weighs 16.5 oz.

For the price I would have a hard time picking this over the Leupold VX-Freedom which is basically the VX2.
