These stocks are 20oz and well worth the look. I was putting My wife’s 6mm creedmoor in it but change my mind. I got her a different stock and plan to use this one in a lightweight 6.5 PRC build.

I had to open up some of the bottom metal. But the bdl dropped right in.

I use a mcmillan 700 mountain rifle stock for my lss 30/06.
No complaints.

Just put a grayboe outlander on my Remington 700. I had to convert to the BDL configuration. It’s now 1.2 oz lighter overall than with the factory adl stock.

Hey just curious what your rifle weighed in at with the peak44 6.5prc? That’s exactly what I’m looking at building with a Kelbly action. Weatherby moved into my town and that’s what they are putting on there backcountry rifles (under 6lbs) I really like them but haven’t talked to anyone that has shot that stock yet. Thanks for any input.

I never weighed it. I was going to have to remove material for the barrel so I decided not to and got a different stock.

If anyone cares, when synthetic stocks first became a thing, Remington's synthetic stocks were very stiff since they were competing against proven Walnut and laminate stocks of that time. Synthetic stocked rifles at that time were priced at or above the same price as wood stocked rifles.

I happen to have a long action BDL version that I got cheap off flea bay. When I go in the field with my dad 's pretty 30-06 (rarely), I plan to swap it for the walnut stock.

It weighed in at 2lbs and has very little flex.

I am looking for a similar stock for my M70 Featherweight.

Check out the manners EH-1 or the new LRH, the grayboe Phoenix is a good option as well but not as stiff as the manners
