All, Im looking for a lightweight (sub 1 pound) folding camp/glassing seat/pad. Anyone have any leads on one or a DIY solution? Something similar to this - https://www.rei.com/product/199537/crazy-creek-original-chair

I use a cut z rest today and dont want to carry a leg chair like a helinox. I used to use an old thermarest cover camping as a kid and figure there has to be a lightweight option out there.

I use a Zrest pad cut 1/2 length. It's no chair, just a butt pad, but it's torso length completely unfolded and is light and easy to carry. In camp when backpack hunting it serves as my camp pad by the campfire and at night it goes on top of my full length pad for double insulation from the ground for my torso area.

Sounds like you need a Kifaru field chair, unfortunately, they don't make them anymore. I added a couple of pockets to the top of my Kifaru cargo panel so that my hiking poles can be used to support it as a chair, similar to the field chair. Mountainsmith makes the slingback chair, check it out.

Piece of ensolite pad cut down to butt size and lean against my pack. About a light as you can get. If I want deluxe I use my shooting sticks to prop my pack up.
