Lightweight Duplex Scope. Any Leupolds decent enough?

I hate that Leupold scopes fit the bill so well for me. I just want something light and strong with a simple reticle for my BLR takedown.

Recommendations very welcome.

Seems Trijicons are the only simple, lower priced scopes that hold zero.
Although I have very good luck with cheap Burris scopes holding zero; certainly better than my Leupolds did.
It’s just super frustrating

Leupold and Burris scope have worked fine for me as set and forget scopes. As long as they are babied, protected like a new born, put in swaddling clothes, I mean soft case, for extra cushioning in the rig, etc. Not thrown around or dropped or bounced around. Had one go 30 years never lost zero, babied on probably 20 hunts, that one just got retired for a Trijicon.

Only Trijicon complaint so far is limited ring spacing and more scope tube diameter in the wrong places for my existing mounting system. Had to use higher rings or go to a pic rail. Both 3x9x40 ish types.

Huron 3-9x40 is under $500, has vx3 quality glass and eyebox, has a good selction of reticles (for us point and shoot types you can get a duplex or a german#4, plus other reticles), AND is one of the few lighter weight scopes that holds zero pretty reliably through the drop evals on this forum. I have had to return several leupolds and now own a few trijicon scopes, I am a fan. It's only a couple ounces heavier than the equivalent leupold.

Nothing against the SWFA, but I didn’t keep any of the several ultralights I had.

Same. I traded mine for a 6x and was pretty stoked about that.

Also always on the lookout for a solid, set an forget scope. The one issue I have ran into is how big the power ring is on some scopes. I dont want my scope way up in the air..
