Looking for light weight and light recoiling deer rifles. Looking for nicer stuff so preferably no Ruger Americans or Savage Axis type guns please. Bare gun or scope and gun package. Would love if they had ammo with them.

I just bought a Weatherby Backcountry 280 ai. 5.4 lbs and I could shoot it all day in a tee shirt. Very low recoil. Great shooting gun. Pair it with a Swaro Z5i and you're done.

I have a Savage LW Storm in 7mm-08. It’s a very accurate low recoil rifle. 6lb 13 oz with a Swarovski Z3 and DNZ rings. I’m not selling it’s just a suggestion.

Sorry I should have said that. $1000-$2000 just looking to see what’s for sale at the moment not necessarily needing suggestions on what to look for. Thanks

I have a Colt Light Rifle in .270 with Warne 1" mounts. No ammo, 6.5lb with the rings. Bought it on a whim and then decided to build an Encore shorty instead.

$760 shipped and it's yours.

I have a Kimber Montana In 280ai that you could add a brake to and be a pretty light recoiling rifle. (I don’t think it’s too bad without).
If interested.

I have a like new Christensen Arms Mesa in 7mm-08 that I am going to be selling. Has a thread protector and muzzle brake. Shoots great but I bought a custom one and don’t need two. I could include the Leupold VX-2
3-9X40 LR duplex too for the right deal.

Either would be at (or maybe a little above) the upper end of the price range you mentioned, but I’ve just about decided to move either a Barrett Fieldcraft in 6.5x55 or a Dan Coffin custom (CLR action, Bartlein barrel, NULA stock, Jewell trigger) in 280 AI.
