Purchased the Mountain Den. Added a rear window and opted for rain fly. Will update.
It doesn't fit in panniers though, correct? How you packing it on animals?A continental is easy to pack as well
I think the poles on continental break down to about 30" right?I guess it would depend on your panniers, you can manty it or top pack it
I stand corrected by snowtrekker after talking to them, max length is 32" for anybody reading this.30" poles are no issues to pack either
When did you order the Four Dog and and what did Don tell you for an ETA?I think the poles on continental break down to about 30" right?
I'm really conflicted on what to do with the Bundok vs Continental. Usually it will just be 3 of us in there.
I have also already ordered a custom 12"x12"x24" four dogs titanium stove, which it would heat either tent comfortably, so I guess that is not a rate limiting step.
He told me stove would be done in October. in time for 2nd rifle. Which stove is he making for you? When did you order the Four Dog and and what did Don tell you for an ETA?
Top Load Gear Bag
It has finally arrived! Black Thunder Gear has brought a simple but exceptional top load gear bag. Here at Black Thunder we strive for basic yet useful equipment. We know that gear needs protection from the elements. Simple loading, unloading and access on the trail is a must! Load shift? No...www.blackthundergear.com
Small is exactly 32” long & Large is 33”.
Man hopefully I have it in time!Ordered the titanium II for my Snow Trekker Mountian Den. Placed the order 2 weeks and was told 5-6 weeks. However, I was warned by other people it could be a lot longer than that. Just a heads up.
After using the Mtn Den for a handful of nights, then the Bundok just recently, I'd definitely get the Continental if I had 3 people regularly plus gear. I believe it's only 7lbs heavier than the Bundok and guys seem just fine packing in with it, especially if with horses. How is everybody enjoying these?
I went ahead and placed and order for Divide series Bundok as I will usually only have 3 people with me however I am wondering if I should have opted for the bigger Continental model. The other reason I went with Bundok is it will fit in panniers on a horse.
Good insight. I got the Bundok and my buddy and I will put it to use in CO 2nd rifle and report back. After using the Mtn Den for a handful of nights, then the Bundok just recently, I'd definitely get the Continental if I had 3 people regularly plus gear. I'm normally solo or with one person, so the Bundok is great for my uses, but we will see how I feel when spending more hours in it during rifle season. Archery is easy as it's just a sleeping tent.
I invested in the mosquito net rear window and front door and glad I did to allow of ventilation if hotter.
Enjoy it, as everyone who stays in it loves it, including me.
I was just about to ask you when your stove will be in. Evidently that is when mine is shipping as well. I cannot wait to have my Bundok and that stove ready for 2nd rifle.Did a quick set up. Only took about ten minutes to set up. Impressed with the quality so far. The Mountain Den will be great for my solo hunts and when a buddy tags along. My four dog stoves arrives next week. I splurged on this set up, but it should last for many years.

I called the number and Beau answered and I placed my order through him. I bet at this point they are sold our for the season if I was to guess after talking with him a few weeks back.Does anyone know how to actually order a tent from WRTL? The website has an option to order online (but no option to select a fly or any other extras), and also says “call to order.” Problem is I can’t get a response (I know it’s hunting season and they guide). What is the route of least resistance to getting one of these?
Good luck getting ahold oh him during hunting season. Try calling both numbers listed on his website. I tried last year to purchase a tent during hunting season to no avail. Finally got ahold of him this summer. I’m sure it’s a minimum of 4-5 weeks to get a tent at this point. Best bet is calling Snow Trekker and see if they have any of their tents in stock.Does anyone know how to actually order a tent from WRTL?
