happy with that too on most hunting rifles however, trailing up hit critters, general purpose defensive camp or otherwise duty with a qd light, still hunting thick sh1t (ie; jump shooting whitetails), maybe pushes, then the lower mags add versatility...but yeah, my nx8 1-8x will likely have a default in the middle, I really like it at 4x and feel that's where it will sit for most hunting and mpbr work which is most hunting, quick spin to 6x or higher and I'm ready to apply solutions for longer stuff, and spin the other way while turning on illumination for when want two eyes open shotgun speed with red dot for close stuff
