Trying to make weight for NRL-H and am looking for the lightest weight braked suppressor in 6.5 or 30 cal (shooting 6.5 Creed) that is available. I can't find a resource that lists specs of can from different manufactures but there must be one out there. More concerned with recoil reduction + hearing safe report and not with max noise suppression. Currently running a Banish Backcountry which is great weight wise but doesn't reduce recoil as much as I would like.
Thanks,
Doc

Remember if the suppressor is under 10oz, it doesn’t count against you weight wise.

These are at odds. If the brake works- it isn’t hearing safe anymore. If it is still hearing safe, the brake isn’t doing much. What a real braked suppressor gives you is very good muzzle light reduction without the massive concussion and muzzle blast of a brake- but you shouldn’t be believing they are “hearing safe”.

I’m not generally a user of braked suppressors on smaller cartridges, however the US NHS is the best I have used and is specifically made for PRS and NRL Hunter.

If I were starting from scratch I’d be real intrigued about this offering from stealth additive works for that application along with the NHS. The SAW can is probably going to be clear winner in suppression but it also probably slows the gases a bunch more than a NHS so might not control recoil as well. (Just speculatin')

salmon rivers 2 port brake is super light I can weight it when I get home if you want.
Unless the brake comes with the suppressor, you lose the additional 10 ounce can weight allowance when you “modify” a can with end cap brake. That 10 ounce weight allowance is only a consideration if shooting factory or open light. There’s no suppressor weigh allowance in open heavy so that srs brake is a better fit for that class.

Maybe it's in our heads but.... My Scythe with a brake on it helps with recoil more than my buddie's Scythe with a flat end cap. The sound is so close, that I chose to keep the brake on mine. This is shooting on a 6.5cm and a 6.5 PRC.
