Anyone thinking about the light my fire sporks, keep looking. I switched away from my set of aluminum backpacking silverware that I used for over 15 years(that I stole from my parents, who bought it before I was born). After a couple backpacking and hunting trips I broke mine trying to scoop a some peanut butter out of a jar.

Okay, rant over.

HAHA, i think i used those my first trip out west a couple years ago. I was glad i had a backup because i broke one as well. Now i just have a long handled metal spoon and hope i dont lose it.

I also very much dislike them, but for some damn reason people are always buying them for me!? They do a good job of selling them by keeping them near the checkout line, I think.

When I got home I went a bought the sea to summit ti long spoon.
This is what I use as well. I like how long they are for digging into that last far reaching corner on the Mt House! : )
Just make to sure to always hand wash them. I had one mistakenly get in the dishwasher once...

Those are my favorite utensils I’ve found thus far. I own 4-5 now cause someone always needs one. Keep em in the possibles kit in the truck.

Toaks titanium makes a long handle spork with a polished bowl that is pretty awesome. The polished bowl make for really easy clean up. I've found that the matte finish on a lot of cookware has a tendency to get grimy and is hard to clean.
