I am lucky enough to call the Yukon home and I am looking for a scope to place atop my sheep rifle that is durable, light/compact and as inexpensive as possible to achieve those first two variables. My current Leupold vx3 4-14 is a disaster waiting to happen from a durability standpoint.

I have done enough syphoning through forms to know the obvious drop tested options in the Nightforce nxs 2-10 and the new Maven 2.5-15 I would just like to see if there is a more cost effective option I should consider before dropping 2600+ CAD on a rifle scope. I understand that durability comes at a certain cost but figured id inquire anyways... Any suggestions?

I mean maybe I should grow up and just bite the bullet but mannnnn these SWFAs look like poo to me. I guess when I have the limitations of cost and durability on my parameters I shouldn't be surprised. Might be worth a shot

When did you add good looking to your criteria? Do you want a scope that works or a scope that looks cool?

NF ATACR is $2k+ if you want both.

You will see quite a few suggestions for a 6x or a 3-9 SWFA, also the Trijicon Hurons are light weight and mostly pass the drop test.

Fair enough. Touché. I think the poking around to see if I could have a happy medium while looking to see what people suggest is really what I’m interested in. Appreciate the honesty
