I am deciding on buying one of these two bows. I’ve shot the 29.5 but haven’t shot the 33.
My bow now is the Halon 32 and I have a 26.5 in draw and am 5’6”.
I like the forgiveness in the longer ata of the halon. But it’s also older Tec. I shot the 29.5 and really liked it. It was just dead in my hand. I guess what I am saying is with how well the 29.5 shot maybe I don’t need a longer bow.. but I am second guessing a bit and wondering if at distance having that 33 would be better.
Anyone have thoughts on this that’s shot either of these two bows.

I shot both and went with the 33. The string angle was a bit much for me on the 29, felt like I had to lean into the peep.
I’d suggest shooting both at the same time and deciding which feels better to you.

29.5 is easily the most accurate bow I have shot since the early 1990’s. With a short draw as well, the short axle to axle is not an issue.

I bet it would.

Every time i have gone with a shorter bow, when I stretch its legs at the range (not the shop) the longer bows just shoot better for me. This is even more true in field where you are doing more things "wrong."

Hey I just got a 33, it is a tad more stable at full draw and in hand. BUT I’ll say for short draws (I’m a 27” draw and 5’8”) with the little bigger brace height, she’s slow. I think for smaller guys the 29.5 is a better fit honestly. But the 33” is still nice!

Not to sure how much more accurate the 33 could be compared to the 29.5 when set up for hunting (fixed pin, short stabilizer, etc.). Shot these groups today at 50 and 65 yards respectively. These are normal for me in calm conditions. I also included a group at 50 yards from last year shortly after I purchased the bow.

As stated above, the 29.5 provides slightly more performance for the short draw archer. I will take every bit I can.

For you to compare to the 33, my 29.5 is 27” true draw, 66#, 85% LO, 407 gr. arrow, 281 fps.

Those are some good groups! I shot those DCA vanes last year and really liked them. I am going to shoot those or the new iron will’s this season.
