Came across this beauty after my iphone bit the dust from too much dust / moisture. When I'm out hunting its off and in my pack but a lot of times when I am hiking / stump shooting it's in my pocket and after doing that for long enough I messed it up.

So I got a lifeproof case for the new one. I accidentally gave it the ultimate test on 4th of july weekend. I jumped into the lake and swam around with it in my pocket. I completely forgot it was there. After 30 min of swimming around in the lake I got out and my phone started ringing in my pocket. Scared the crap out of me, but no damage. Pretty amazing.

I have one for the Iphone5 to protect from a hostile work environment and from salt spray on the boat when fishing offshore on the weekends. Saltwater & spray in the air has a knack for finding a phone and will wreck it with a quickness. This Lifeproof case seems to offer great protection, so far. Not cheap, but a lot cheaper than a new Iphone!!!

Had my lifeproof for over a year now on my 4s, it's been bullet proof. I am brutal on phones, from dusty environments to being in the pocket on swims, held up. The three flaws are that you need the little adapter for the pin jack, aftermarket chargers sometimes don't fit, and the camera lens cover seems to always collect lint/dust. I digiscope with it a bit and find that it's easier to take the case off than to clean the lens cover. I've been worried that removing the case too many times will ruin it's waterproof seal, but it's been over 100 times now and still keeping the moisture out. A lot of friends have different brands, but if there's moisture involved, lifeproof all the way.

Agreed with all post I have one also and it's definitely held its own and kept all the dust dirt water it's been and dropping a couple times pretty hard on phones myself even holds up to sweat real well ( left the phone in the pocket a couple times while on fires :) )

Awesome case. I saw my buddy's in action on pretty wet spring bear hunt in NW MT and I had to get one as soon as I got back.

Lifeproof as saved me a ton of money. I have dropped my iphone several times, and it has saved my screen. To me, it was worth the cost.

I'm on my second one. First case broke at the charging port cover and wouldn't stay closed. Awesome case tho. I forgot my phone in my truck last summer and it overheated so I just tossed it in the pool to cool it down. Buddy of mine saw me toss it and thought I was losing it.....didn't realize the case was waterproof ;)
I've dropped it a few times as well, no problems.

I have one for my iPhone 5. Saved my bacon many times, plus I can keep my phone on me at all times regardless of the conditions without worrying about wrecking it.

Wow you guys have had good luck with lifeproof. I still use mine but it hasn't been waterproof since the first month I owned it. I was excited to receive it when I got it but was very surprised at how "cheap" it felt. The first thing that annoyed me with this case is that only apple brand chargers would fit in the port so if I wanted to charge my phone in my truck with my Verizon charger I had to peel the case off. The second thing i cant stand is that you have to open the charger port for the person on the other line to hear you talking and the sound quality on my end is terrible to boot. The first time I dropped my phone the plastic cracked and chipped at the corner and the next time I removed the case I also removed an entire strip of the case that also must have cracked from that first drop. This life proof case is a POS as far as I'm concerned and a complete waste of money.

They make an adapter to where you can use aftermarket chargers and iPod docks.
I have one for my phone, but is not in good shape. All the rubber that seals the screen protector is gone. I'm pretty sure it's no longer waterproof. I can say tho that I have spilled acetone over it on multiple occasions and it still works. Kept the dust and chemical spills out which was the main reason i bought it. Was worth the money, and I will buy another in a month or so to replace the one I now have.
