Not a big lever gun guy but the last one I bought was a marlin 444. I put a vx3 1.5-5x20 on it. My cousin has one he used a VX2-7x33 on it. I liked both rifle set ups. I’m sure a Vx3 2.5-8x36 would be great as well.
