We all wish they were, but Leupold refuses to acknowledge any issues with durability.

Keep in mind that vortex and Leupold scopes kill more big game animals per year than all other scopes combined.

So for the hunters that do the usual… re-zero before season, travel with their gun in a padded rifle case, check zero at camp, and go out and kill one or two animals per year, they acceptable for that target market which makes up 95+% of all rifle hunters.
