Leupold VX5 Alternatives?

I had more or less decided this is the scope I want for my new build in the 4-12x44, but can’t find it in stock anywhere. What do you guys like that is comparable? I was interested in the firefly reticle as well.

I think you mean firedot reticle… and you can get a vx5 in 2-10 or 4.5-14… it doesn’t come in a 4-12….

VX-5HD CDS 3-15x44 with the Firedot reticle is awesome! Worth the wait.

Yes, these were the specs I intended to recite. I fat fingered the numbers on my phone. Not sure I am patient enough to wait. I have read great things, but there seem to be a number of good choices in the price range.

Got vx-6hd and compared it to swaro z5 both 18x max and found that swaro has clearer glass but vx-6hd had way more features

I just recieved one of these scopes for Christmas. It was purchased off gunbroker. They still seem redily available on there. Sometimes it helps to use leupold's part number when seaching.
The VX-5HD 3-15x44 CDS-ZL2 Sidefocus with Illuminated Firedot i believe you are refering to is 172368

Vx5 3-15x44 is a fantastic hunting scope. Probably my favorite all around hunting scope. Well worth the wait

I’ve sent it off to leupold to change the illumination push button on/off to knob style but they told me they don’t do that anymore cause their custom shop is shut down due to Covid.
