Leupold VX-6HD not legal in Idaho

Merriam-Webster defines reticle as "a scale on transparent material (as in an optical instrument) used especially for measuring or aiming". The "level-alert" is part of the aiming process and thus part of the recticle (not a separate "device"). Additionally, I don't see how this gives a shooter any advantage over an external bubble level. Would be nice to know what the intent was when the wording was formed for that part of the code.

IMHO, It is a battery powered reticle and battery powered reticles are allowed.

I had no idea Leupold had that tech in the VX6-HD's I'd buy the Zeiss Conquest HD instead.

I’d pull the battery out and go hunting.

That's I did. They better have bigger fish to fry than the non working technology in my scope haha.
