Anyone have any info? I see they added this scope stating it has been impact tested. I’ve never been a Leupold guy but it looked interesting.

As long as you dont handle it like a caveman you will be fine. Unless you get a lemon. If so they have fantastic customer service.

Looks to me like they are putting it in their lineup to fill the ~$1k price point now that the vx5hd gen 2 costs more. There’s not a lot of space between the 30mm vx3s and the 4s, especially when looking at the 30mm 3s, so maybe they’ll drop the 30mm 3s and try to separate those product lines a bit.

So does the VX3 and even the Freedom. I suspect they are referring to their forward-back/recoil testing and not to any new side-impact testing.

Is there recoil issues with the new Leupolds? I don’t have one and was wondering why all the demand for the older Vari-x III’s was picking up.
