As a fellow rokslide FNG my lived experience with Leupold differs somewhat. Reading the forum almost scared me off buying another one but I’ve been very impressed with the vx-5 in the field this year. So much so I went back to them when a great deal on binos came up.
Pareto deal on the scope via Europtic and it’s markedly improved from the build quality of a leupy I bought in 2014.
I get the consensus opinion here. It just isn’t mine. The internet tends to magnify best/worst case scenarios.
I’d stay away from their low end stuff no matter what ya decide.
