I am debating between these two for a Leupold Mark 5 3.6-18. First pic is PR1 and second pic is PR2. Opinions? Leaning towards the PR1 for a cleaner reticle.

I have run the pr2 mil in prs comps because there are random stages where you cannot dial once the clock starts, have to use the grid to engage long range w/ wind holds. As a hunter this will never be the case, get the less cluttered pr1. Dial elevation, hold the wind. If I knew id never have a no dial stage again in prs, id rock a zco mpct-1 reticle all day every day.

That’s my thought on it as well. I was pretty well set on the PR1, just wanted to confirm I wasn’t overlooking something.

Hunting with the bottom one? Absolutely no.
Having used one to engage steel to a mile, I strongly disagree. The pr2 leupold grid is the least invasive of all the grids ive been behind, and that's a lot. I'd have zero problems using a pr2 to hunt with. But if 100% hunt rig, yeah the pr1 is slightly better.

I've had non-illuminated TMR, illuminated TMR, and non-illuminated PR1. If I buy another it will be illuminated PR1, the non-illuminated was too hard for me to use in low light.

That’s good info, I appreciate it.

3.6-18x44 is only available in pr1 options currently.........which is fn retarded. The pr2 mil in the light compact scope would be an excellent dmr optic.
