The VX-5HD 2-10x40 is 16oz so hopefully pretty close to that. Still pretty light.

I just got off the phone with Jason @ Euro Optic. He checked and there’s nothing in the 2023 price list or new product guide about these. So there’s two possibilities here.

1. They got uploaded on the website by accident before they’re supposed to be released when we’re updating the site for 2023 which is entirely plausible and has happened many times.

2. Someone with good photoshop skills is playing a joke, which has also happened.

I really hope it’s the former because one of these with one of the illuminated LPVO style tree reticles like the H27D, LE5, FC-DMX reticle would be ******* tits and I’d buy one in a heartbeat. I’ve had numerous MK5’s in the 3.6-18 and 5-25 flavors and they’re super solid optics.

With SHOT next week I’m guessing they were getting the site ready so they can make a announcement and go live with a button while at SHOT. That’s what I’m hoping for anyway!

I thought it would be the same weight as a NXS 2.5-10x42 being only 30mm but FFP. I wonder if it was created to compete for a contract or something. For a company with hunting optics making up the vast majority of their sales I was surprised to see it with a 35mm tube. They must have a market in mind, but it doesn't check the boxes I was looking for. It may fit nicely with a future AR build but I think I'll continue to run NXS 2.5-10 instead on hunting rifles.
