Does anyone have experience with these? Seem to be the VX 3HD with mil turrets from what I've read. Considering the illuminated 4-12 for my coyote AR.

If they had the mag ranges and ZL turrets that the VX-3HD had then I might try one. However, the mag ranges indicate VX-1/2/Freedom construction, and 5.6 MIL elevation travel from zero sucks.

I have the 3-9 scope on an AR and I like it. Illumination feature very easy to use with "off" settings between every brightness level setting. I like that better than the illuminated feature on my Leupold VX5HD scope with the push button for turning on and adjusting the illumination. [ Can not turn it off manually without changing the set illumination level at same time (can just wait for it to go off itself, but that wastes battery) although that scope is awesome anyway. ]
I'm very happy with the Mark 3HD. Great glass, great clarity.

I have the 2-7 VX-R on it right now. thinking a 4-12 with offset red dot. I really like the VX-R, but would kind of like a little more magnification on the top end. The glass in my VX-Freedom is clearer than the VX-R IMO, although the VX-R seems better constructed. Would add the offset red dot if I do decide to go the higher mag route because I have a fair amount of coyotes come in <50 yards.

I have the 4-12 on my .30-06 fieldcraft. Have dialed to 500 and back 10-15 times and it tracks well enough that I don’t notice any issues, and the return to zero has been good.

Sounds about perfect. I don't dial for coyotes generally, but it's nice to have the option when they hang up. Plus it would be a good thing to have when occasionally popping prairie dogs.
