Have been using a Ranger1000 for several years. It’s held up really well. But it’s a little slow and lately seems to be giving some off yardages.

The leupold 1600iTBR and Ranger1800 are at the max of my budget range. Anyone compared the two side by side? I’ve looked at the specs. So looking for actual field performance. Speed of range, accuracy, angle comp (bowhunt), optic clarity and display brightness in different light?

Thanks for any input.

I just picked up the 1600i tbr and love it. Not a fan of vortex to start with so the ranger never crossed my mind. The 1600 has preformed great the last 2 weekends. Farthest range I’ve pulled out of it was 1597 to a car sized rock. Farther than I’ll ever shoot and it has worked great on the 3D archery range in the timber also. I’d Definetly purchase again

I just purchased the Leupold 2800 from Cabela’s website for $350. The 1600 was $300. I haven’t received it yet so I can’t confirm how much I like it, but I heard a lot of good things.

RX-1600i ranges faster and will perform better on black/white targets (less variance). I believe they can also be had at $299.99 right now!!!
