Lets talk bugles

How do you guys pick bugles? THere seems to be many options out there in many different styles.

My first one is a smaller primos backpacking model and it just doesn't have the right sound when compared to others i have heard. Im getting into using a diaphragm and would like to have the ability to use it through the tube as well as the reed that comes with the bugle depending on situations and i have also heard that some work better then others for use with a diaphragm.

What do you think?

Im thinking of an elk inc power bugle. Any one have any use with it?

ive used the elk inc royal bugle for years and dont see that changing. i have a buddy with the power bugle and they both sound great.

X2 for the Royal bugle, I've used that for quite awhile now and have call in a decent amount of elk with it for me, friends and family. The only reason I ever see me changing is if they quit making the bands for it. Excellent bugle.

I hear ya brewer, I have become a grey band hoarder! I will just buy a pack every time i see one!

Same here, I have 20 packs of gray bands vacuum sealed to make them last longer. I want to have that thing for as long as possible.
