Are you running their extended length 3.715 AICS metal? If so, how's it work for you? Any feeding issues? Able to run anything longer than the 3.5 COAL they recommend?

No, just the regular bottom metal. It's worked flawlessly. No issues whatsoever. Feeds perfect.

I haven't tried to run anything longer yet.

Debating on medium rings, but think I’ll shoot a bit first and see. Just waiting on my can to be released from jail, but ready to start shooting. Also debating building another in 6CM or fast twist .243.

Hows the muzzle blast with a short barrel and brake? I’m looking to build one just like that but maybe a 20” barrel.

sick build. double check that it's seated on the recoil lug though. I don't think it is. (compare yours to how the forend and barrel are parallel in this pic, yours looks off ) it may shoot even better ; )

Not bad at all, it’s been surprisingly manageable to control

before you unscrew everything it may be easier for you to confirm by comparing the non bolt side with the gas port and bolt release as guides.

Nice build! This is almost exactly what my next one will be. I have a donor action in the safe and a nano waiting to be shipped.

What load are you shooting? Velocity?

And I agree about the recoil lug. Nice catch. Groups will only probably get smaller if it isnt seating right now
