Here’s mine in 7 SAUM:

UM action weight reduction
PBB Hybrid Lite 20” w/ 1:8 fluting
MTN Gear titanium bolt knob
Peak 44 Bastion
Sportsmatch TO84 rings
Trijicon Credo 2.5-15x42
Nomad TiXC

Weight as pictured is 7lb 6oz
Bare rifle is 5lb 4oz

Load development is up next but the ladder I shot with Cutting Edge 160s and RL23 went 0.5 for 10 shots. Can’t wait to get a load dialed for it.
That is very slick. Surprisingly light, the UM action lightening must be pretty effective.

Definitely not insignificant. The Peak 44 Bastion is like 6oz lighter than the factory stock and the barrel saved like 4oz. Action work was around 5oz total with the titanium bits.

I honestly think you could get one under 5lbs pretty easy with a Peak 44 Blacktooth and a 16” barrel of the same contour.

Thanks for the info.

I have a similar build,

T3x, 19” hybrid lite (no flutes) in a Stockys VG, 3-12 LRHS, in Sportsmatch rings, and it weighs 8lb 10oz with a 8oz Jolene Can. Sure wouldn’t mind getting it down to 8# with the can!

Heres mine. Just got it all together. OMR 22in barrel and ti brake, t3 action, Rokstock (painted by my wife), Maven rs 1.2, mtn gear bipod chambered in 25 creed.
Glad you joined the Tikka club!

Love the stock. How did you get that color combo? I don't see that as an option from Peak 44.

Just graphite black cerakote. I had the applicator only do the outside of the action, but there is some on the rails. It’s certainly not bad, but only about 90% as slick as factory.
Looks really good! I have 3 rifles with graphite black cerakote but they look more matte than yours. Maybe it’s just the lighting in your photo but I like that “just a hint of gloss” look yours appears to have.

I’ve been thinking about putting together a Tikka build for my son (just turned 12 and he’s SMALL) and the weight on your build is awesome!! Well done!!

I bet it purrs like a kitten at 22lbs. Mine is only 12lbs and it’s nothing.
Man you can watch it land easily off a decent prop usually see quite a bit of flight, off a bench you can see it fly the entire time.
Damn! I thought my 338 RUM was heavy at 17.5 lbs haha.
I have a 30” 300wby that’s about 16# and it’s quite a chore to handle in the Rockies but man it puts the thump on an elk. A 210 going 3150 works quite well in my experience.

My 338 RUM wears a 30" barrel as well. I don't tote it around hunting as much as my other rifles, but a 265 HHT at 3100 sure knocks things down!
