Let's See Your Semi-Custom Tikka Builds

Slowly working my way towards the semi-custom Tikka of my dreams. I got a nice walnut stock to replace the plastic one until my wooden Rokstok lite is ready.

Tikka T3 stainless, .1:10” twist .223, cut to 16.1”
Steel lug
Metal bolt shroud
PR Precision stainless steel bottom metal

I have a similar dream. That is beautiful

Have killed several bucks with this rifle and it is also the most accurate and best feeding rifle I’ve ever owned. 30-06 stainless T3x. I had it bedded by Tumbleweeds Custom Guns in a Stocky Hunter stock. I didn’t love the fit direct from Stocky’s and as you can see Mark’s bedding is impeccable. Also first go with UM rings. I can’t imagine I’d go back to anything else.

Tikka guys, explain it to me simply please. If I have a tikka factory take off barrel, can I put that barrel on a different tikka action without doing anything besides torqueing it down and checking headspace?

Pretty much. Threads likely won't time. But headspace will likely be good, be sure to check it for safety purposes though.

“Build” is a stretch, but here’s mine: set up for backcountry deer in the big, thick woods of the northeast.
T3x lite, with 20” chopped barrel, high desert bottom metal, hand painted stockys carbon stock, Leupold 2.5-8x scope. 7mm-08. I shoot 140 grain e-tips over a stout charge of Big Game. 6.85 pounds with scope.
