Lets see your first bull

Here’s my 1st bull. I killed him in 1997, farther in a wilderness then I should have been on a solo hunt. My dad ended up saving my butt driving all night to bring his horse over to get the meat out before it spoiled. Only pic I got because the battery on my camera died.

Went on my first Colorado OTC hunt in 2017. On the last evening of our hunt, this 5x5 came in to 60 yards. Made a great shot and he piled up within 25 yds. Fortunate enough to be able to back the truck right up and load him in the bed. It’s a day I’ll never forget.

I can’t find a photo of my first bull (a 28” tall fork x spike about 20 years ago now), but this is my first branch bull a few years later. I’ve taken a lot of elk since then, but my first branch bull is probably still the most exciting for me.D44D8845-B081-41B4-83A2-D75E56251C85.jpeg
