Let's see them hidden! Tines in the brush and the like

Found this bull beating the heat while scouting on a late July morning. If only it had been a month later!

That’s a helluva find there. What’s the details? How far away when you noticed?
Thanks! Was about 500 yards away when I noticed his little buddy bedded in the rocks, snuck into 300 and picked the hill apart until I found the antler protruding from behind the boulder.

Edit: there’s actually 2 bucks in this photo

Not a backcountry glassing session, just a roadside drive by. But thought I saw an antler sticking out of brush. Turned around and snapped some pics.

I watched a smaller buck for 30 minutes feeding in the brush and luckily just saw a flick of an ear at one point of a wide bedded buck. I sat on him for over an hour before he stood up. Sent a .54 cal round ball through his shoulder and back down he went. All I could tell while he was in the brush was how wide he was as most the time I could only see the ends of both main beams.
