Lets see that pretty wood

Still a work in progress with more coats to go but this one should turn out very nice…quick dress rehearsal outside on the sun.

Have a NOS Zeiss conquest 3-9x40 z600 reticle to mount on it when it’s done…should finish up around 8 pounds, 7 or 8 oz.

A place for your non-dominant hand to grip the stock. Honestly, I’m not entirely sure how they are intended to be used. I’ve just seen them on manners and thought I’d give it a try.

This is about the best I can do.

I used to checker gunstocks and I just couldn't do it anymore. I got old (84) and my hands and eyes couldn't handle it. It is not easy and I appreciate those who do it now. It is getting to be a lost art now that laser technology has progressed to what it is today.

That carpet looks pretty phenomenal...is there a story behind it?
I saved the life of a famous tiger hunter in East Punjab by killing a cobra with a Parker shotgun that I happened to be carrying at the time because we were hunting Himalayan snowcock. His wife ran out to the shed, sheared some sheep, dyed some wool, and made this rug for me in gratitude.

LLOL some cheap thing we got on Amazon. It does look really great though.
