That skeleton buttplate and the hand checkering are really nice. Whoever made the stock, knew what they were doing...Speaking of Turkish walnut. Here's a .243 wearing some exhibition grade.

I made a thumbhole stock years ago for my custom 25-06. I posted a picture of it in my post. I started to use it for deer/antelope hunting, but quickly realized that using the safety with my thumb was really uncomfortable. I finally took the stock and modified it to use on the custom .220 Ackley Improved Swift I was building.I'll need to get a few better pics. But this is a stock I put on my old pre-64 a few years ago.
