You can try to prove me wrong and debate all you want, but first hear me out.

I truly believe the AKEK packs are the best on the market. Here’s why:

Best Quick-Release System
It comes with the best quick-release weapon holder on the market, because it works for both a gun AND a bow.

Built-In Organization
These packs have more pockets for organizing than most other packs. If you’re a minimalist, just don’t use them. But if you like your gear dialed, you’ll appreciate the options.

Full Carbon Fiber Curved Frame
The full carbon fiber curved frame offers better support when hauling heavy loads — typically better than traditional stays or rods. When you’re packing out meat, that support matters.

Everything Included
You don’t have to buy accessories separately. It includes hip belt pockets, quick release, rain cover, meat shelf, and more. What you see is what you get.

Modular
The lid turns into a separate pack that you can use alone or mount to the frame for a pack out.

Weather-Resistant Build
Water- and dust-resistant zippers are built into every pack.

True Adjustability
AKEK is the only brand with a belt system that adjusts behind the lumbar as well as in the front. That means a 10-year-old kid and a 40-year-old guy can use the same belt comfortably. We also now offer three different frame sizes so you can really dial in your fit.

Lifetime Warranty
And yes — the lifetime warranty is solid. Everything is honored.

For the Skeptics
• It’s not made in the USA. Correct — it’s made in Vietnam right now. The focus has been quality while keeping the price reasonable.
• You found a brand that is lighter weight? We felt the added features were worth the extra pound. When you’re hauling 70 pounds of meat, you won’t notice the difference. Our pack is still a light weight premium pack system.
• Another brand might do one small thing better. Maybe. But usually if they win in one area, they’re sacrificing somewhere else. AKEK was built to deliver across the board.
• If you used an AKEK pack before and didn't love it... try again! Its got more adjustments and even more padding for comfortability. If it wasn't super comfortable did you use one of the other frame sizes? Did you adjust the lumber padding properly?

In Short
No pack is perfect for everyone, but it’s hard to find another system that brings together THIS many features, this level of comfort, durability, organization, and adjustability — all at this price point. AKEK is tough to beat considering all of this.

If you haven't seen the AKEK pack check it out and watch the short video here showing one of the models: www.akek.com

Good question! The biggest thing is the lack of features and the price. Usually for one of the big 3 you will pay more and still be missing features or accessories that you have to get later.
True most packs will get the job done still and nothing is exactly bad about them.

Basically what I'm saying is you get more for your money.... you get more pockets, universal weapon release system, more adjustments, more modularity built in and better price.

What does your pack look and perform like with two elks fronts in it, or a whole whitetail deer?

I’ve done that with 2 of the big 3, and they both worked well. I’ve carried out whole whitetails with the other of the big 3 that didn’t get elk quarters to ride in it. One of them does it a little better than all the others and that’s the one I still own.

The link you sent with a deer quarter (maybe) in the video, or a skull capped bull doesn’t really do a good job of showing what your pack will do with a 150+ pound load. You get some pictures, videos, and unbiased reviews of your pack doing that and we might be talking.

You're correct about the price, but didn't describe your experience specifically using EXO, SG or Kifaru. Have you used their products yourself or just reading descriptions and looking at pics?

I would expect a product made in Vietnam to be less expensive from the start. Also I have never seen SG, EXO or Kifaru ever say they were the best. They let the products speak for themselves.....

I truly believe the AKEK packs are the best on the market. Here’s why:

Best Quick-Release System
It comes with the best quick-release weapon holder on the market, because it works for both a gun AND a bow. Based on what? Several brands weapons carriers work for both

Built-In Organization
These packs have more pockets for organizing than most other packs. If you’re a minimalist, just don’t use them. But if you like your gear dialed, you’ll appreciate the options. What about Eberlestock or mystery ranch?

Full Carbon Fiber Curved Frame
The full carbon fiber curved frame offers better support when hauling heavy loads — typically better than traditional stays or rods. When you’re packing out meat, that support matters. What studies show that this is true? Where is the data to support this statement?

Everything Included
You don’t have to buy accessories separately. It includes hip belt pockets, quick release, rain cover, meat shelf, and more. What you see is what you get. Fair point

Modular
The lid turns into a separate pack that you can use alone or mount to the frame for a pack out. All of the big three can do this

Lifetime Warranty
And yes — the lifetime warranty is solid. Everything is honored. What does Akek define as lifetime? lifetime of product(ie 5,10,15 years etc..) or forever?

Certainly open to listening to independent reviews from folks with some experience using both these as well as other popular hunting packs. But without direct experience I cant participate, and Ive never seen one or talked to anyone who has mentioned one.
In any case, I find most good packs reflect their designers philosophy, which may be quite different than mine. The result is that “best” often seems very subjective to me.

I’ll check out the video.

I’m not going to dig into your website now but are you still using this frame?

No we have our own complete custom frame now that is thicker and more durable than the one in the link.

I have one of the original style packs, it's a few years old now. It's been a good pack and has seen it's share of elk and deer packed out. It lives in my gym now and is used as my workout pack. I went with and Eberlestock Mod frame this year.
