New area after a 7 hour hike in... 4am, 35 degrees and sideways rain, socked in and in the middle of an old burn and deadfall. Found this patch of trees in the middle of it all and decided to lay in the rain until daylight. We were 300yds away from our marked camp spot but couldn’t see anything...good times! The tent was actual camp.

Definitely not roughing it but this is this years elk camp. 12x17 tent with 12x12 cook shack attached heated with a pellet burner stove I made.
