I have a Browning X-Bolt Pro in 6.5PRC. About 1.5 years ago my velocity averaged 2835. Tried to do some long range shooting at 500 and 600 yards and was way off. Due to impacts, I knew the speed was off but I didn't know how much. Got the information now and almost at 2880fps. Same bullet used and same load. Since I don't shoot much past 200, I didn't really notice. At least know I can go shooting and try again with better information. Using 142ABLR with H1000. The rifle does like this combo. Now I definitely will be checking velocity going forward, especially if and when I go on future hunts just to make sure everything is good. But it should be now. Barrel has about 500 shots now. When I first got the 2835 I was around 150-200 shots. Any one else experience this? I know its.kind of common but a lot of people really don't shoot that far so, maybe not noticed.
