WTS Leica Ultravid HD 12x50 1500$

I would not worry about the year of manufacture of any Ultravid HD's.
It's a valid question, their previous warranty was way shorter and non-transferrable. They were the last premium brand to beef up their warranty. I don't know if they would be generous and grandfather in the close ones but it sure made me happy buying my UVHD+ last year knowing I'm covered for a while, and resale will be higher for it. Either way, that's amazing glass at a steal!

You make a very good point. To be honest I do not give much thought to warranties. Naive on my part I suppose .

To be completely honest I think its crazy that no-fault warranty's ever became a thing, but I'll take full advantage of it! I don't know of any other industry that does it without insurance fees.
I probably wouldn't care that much if I knew I wouldn't accidentally drop them or have a tripod fall over, but a 10 year no-fault warranty from an alpha brand is an awesome deal. They had a lot of bad customer service reputation to save in the hunting community and that was a big leap in the right direction. It would have been nice if they included everything else in that 10 year window, but it is what it is.
