Shout out to Leica . Two service requests within the last year on two optics. One handled in less than three weeks and the other in 10 days. Communication was excellent. Have also had good experience with Swarovski, although it did not involve repairs.

Was either Leica service issue with a range finder?

No, not in either case. One was a spotting scope and the other was a binocular that I bought second hand.

Leica recently did a great job fixing a Geovid HD-B that had some damage from a previous owner. Turnaround time in less than a month and no charge.
