Leica new warranty, authorized dealers

I noticed on Leica website it now shows a 10/30 year warranty updated for 2021 when purchased from an authorized dealer. I used the search tool and doesn’t seem BlackOvis, S&S Archery or goHunt pop up as an authorized dealer. Can anyone verify is these locations are indeed authorized dealers or can you recommend a hunting friendly website which is.

Your best bet is to find the model you're looking to buy and then call Leica with the serial #. They will advise you if warranty is transferrable, etc.

I don't understand why the issues with the Leica warranty program, given they probably have the best build quality in the industry.

I agree with Leica making things difficult. If they ever get up to the same level as Swaro or Vortex with service my optics hunt would be over. I have had a couple examples of just trying to get stuff registered with Leica that make me hesitant to deal with them. The "new passport" warranty is also written in a way that makes it tough cause you could be buying new older stock that was shipped to dealer before 2021 and the way they make it sound those are not covered even if customer bought new today from dealer.

I would and have bought Leicas from Doug at camera land and have had no issues, warranty registration or otherwise. He’d be the first guy I would call.

This. I have done the same and have nothing but good things to say about CameraLand and Leica optics. I had a detailed question about the programming on some Geovid's. Doug had his Leica contact call me and answer my questions same day.

I would simply check the warranty paperwork for new Leicas, as there are certainly alot of NOS examples on the market made prior to the warranty upgrade. I guess buyers need to pay close attention. Many of us like to buy used (or demos/refurbs) because of the discount. I would hope Leica could check the serial number to verify the date of manufacture and dealer origin. This all impacts the value in my opinion.
