Leica geovid HD-B vs geovid pro HD.

So I’m looking into the leica binos and noticed a drastic price difference between the HD-B and the pros. Haven’t found any solid answers online. I was wondering what wisdom rokslide could share with me? Thanks!

Where to begin? Let’s start with what’s unchanged: the optics&mechanics. The laser, computer chips, software, user interface, (everything else) is improved. You have a 3200y laser that works better in inclement weather than that of the HD-B series. You have a new chipset with more memory, Applied Ballistics built-in, excellent BlueTooth comms (no more programming a chip on your computer, as with the HD-B), improved thermometer & barometer, built-in compass, ability to build, store and manage 5-20+ rifle profiles on the Leica Ballistics app on your phone, etc. Pros come with AB Ultralite installed (Elite is unlockable for $150). Pro AB+ come with AB Elite unlocked AND SPA (Shot Probability Analysis) which AB calls WEZ (Weapon Employment Zone analysis), a feature only available via AB’s desktop solver until now. Basically, Pro AB+ the only laser rangefinder on the market that can tell you how likely you are to make the shot -IF you do your part and input good data (how accurate your rifle is with you shooting it, how good your are at reading wind, etc), you’ll get good predictions. Lie to it, and it’ll give you predictions based on your lies. ; )
