SOLD locally!

PRICE Lowered!!! Great glass need a new home!

Leica GEOVID 15x56 HD-R BRF-Y Binos. These are the HD version as marked on the left eyepiece. Image quality is top notch! Focus knob is super smooth and rangefinder works as expected (Leica quality). One of the front lenses has a small mark in the coating and a small tear in the rubber around the lens (see arrows in pic). The eyepiece cover is present, but the front flip down lens covers are not. Ranging is in yards and rated out to 1400 yards. Comes with strap, case, box, etc as pictured. Overall these are excellent glass in great condition.

$1600 shipped (+ any PP fees, or can do Zelle for free)

You would need to check and see if the registration is in the box still or find the original receipt and where the binos were purchased. I believe the warranty info is good for 3 years from purchase and avoids sending the binos to Germany. The company is not returning emails or phone calls due to covid 19. Regardless, Lecia will repair and clean the binos if the they are sent to Germany regardless of the warranty info just costs shipping, and if I remember correctly around $60 bucks. Plus 6-8 weeks to get the binos back.

Thanks for the info on the warranty!

There is a warranty card is in the box with the other paperwork. Was this the only way to register these, or could it have been done online? Regardless, she estimates that she bought these about 5 years ago from a close mutual friend of ours when he switched over to some 10X binos.

I noticed that there is an impression of handwriting on the top of the box. It's the address to Company Seven, who appears to be an authorized repair facility for Leica. I called them with the serial number of the bino's and they don't have any record of these being serviced. Looking closer it appears that the box may not be the correct one as the SN on the box doesn't match the SN on the bino's.

All this to say that I have no idea if they've been registered and don't know the exact history of them.

Someone kindly PM'd me about the price, and I suppose I'll ask here. These are labeled HD-R, which I believe were $3K new. She recalls paying $2500 for them used. Does this sound plausible? Knowing our friend, he would have bought the top model, just the way he is. Before I made this listing I tried to find out more about these and came across listings for USED HD-R versions for $2100+. I also see NEW -R versions listed at $2K. Was there a difference between the HD-R and -R? I assumed these have HD glass while the less expensive ones don't. Any info is appreciated. It doesn't change the fact that these are awesome bino's that she wants top sell. If I'm way off on what these are, price, etc I'd like to know.

Thanks!
