I have a pair of 10-15 Leica Duovids $1450 will include tripod mount plate and marsupial gear harness.

I also have a pair of 8-12 Leica Duovids $1450 will include outdoorsman's stud and marsupial gear harness.

Nice, love that 8-12x. What is overall condition, especially the glass? Can the stud be removed? Thanks.

The 8-12 is the newer pair. They are in great shape, prior owner had multiple rubber covers for them.

I don’t know why you’d want to remove the stud, unless you want to sell it. It’s considered one of the best mounts on the market. You should be able to though I don’t think the cover to replace is it is anywhere to be found.

Thanks. I don't use the studs at all so it would just be in the way so I am curious if it can just be unscrewed, or what? I've been wanting to try a set of those for a while. They look very nice.

You should be able to. I didn’t install it, I believe it’s just tightened in with a couple Allen wrenches. One for a set screw one to help loosen it for removal. At least that would be reverse order from YouTube though it’s not Leica specific.

It looks like you can. I never tried I was content with the Leica mount.
