I can't even find one Youtube video review (except ones published by Leica).
It is available to purchase from multiple sources, so not a supply shortage.
Does anyone own one of these??
Reviving this to answer where I land. Prioritization of optical quality in a Rangefinder isn't always as high on the list. For one, a rangefinder by design gets compromised, even if only a little. But when I had the EL Range, I noticed a difference between them and the NL Pure, and it wasn't insignificant especially at low light and on hot days.
For less money, there's equal or better tech out there. Better RF glass? Certainly not. But guys (like me) find animals with the top tier and range them with whatever is most intuitive and fast.
I think Revic, Sig, and now Leopold are offering as good or better tech at a cheaper price. Leica dominates the RF Bino field, but the handheld RF is used differently.
Additionally, Leica has had a history of issues in some cases (battery drain, slow response, and miscalculated ranges in certain weather conditions). They've also made some odd design and interface choices, such as LOS flashing first, followed by Angle Comp. So if you're a bow hunter? You'd have to wait 3-4 seconds for your angle comp to display. Or the massive reticle they had in some earlier RFs. I think they've probably fixed it, but for some it's a choice that still gives us hesitation before spending that kind of money on one.
I haven't looked at them, but the above-named reasons are largely why I don't.
