Not what I said. I’m worried that the suppressor would obstruct too much of the view and was seeing if he had any experience regarding this
If you can't see at least the top of a suppressor in a 3x scope, it has a small field of view.
I see the barrel on a 22 inch sporter 300wsm with a 2.5-16 Magnus, but not at all with a 3x-15 Amplus on a midweight 308 barrel.

Do you run a suppressor? I am looking at the leica and I heard you can see the barrel at 3x. This worries me since I plan on putting a suppressor on my rifle
I wish I could run a suppressor, but not happening in the Golden State. Honestly, I only notice a blurred end of the barrel when at 3x. Anything higher than that and the barrel disappears.

The amplus is very tempting to get. Do you think it’s a better scope over the zeiss conquest v4. I haven’t heard much about the leica. And if you think it’s better do you think it’s worth it at the 23.6 ounces for a backcountry rifle. I’d be putting it on a 6.5 prc Seekins ph3

The Leica feels a little more durable than my V4. To my eyes, they scopes are about the same looking at a plain lighted background. Against or in dark woods at low light and the Amplus is a little better.
I have 3 Zeiss scopes and 6 Leica scopes.

I bought my Leica Amplus 6 3-18x44i for a hunting build. It is an absolute stunning optic all around. Between the glass, mechanics, size, and weight Leica did very well. I also researched /considered the Trijicon, Leupold vx5 and 6, and briefly the Meopta offerings but the Leica Amplus 6 won out.

I also thought I was gonna get a leupold but after reading about their tracking issues I couldn’t do it. How is the Leica tracking. Do you think the Leica is worth the extra few ounces?

I have both the V4 and the Amplus 6. Like them both, but agree the Amplus just feels sturdier (never a fan of the plastic windage cap on the v4). I also think the glass is better on the leica. On the weight, everybody is different. I always find the best way to cut weight is just to lose a couple of pounds of body fat. 😄
