WTB left hand rifle bigger than .284

Yeah, it isn’t adding up. The -06 pushes the same bullets as the rest of the 30 cal crowd. With less recoil than all the magnums.

If your wife is recoil sensitive, don’t go any higher than 30-06. Maybe you need to shoot a different bullet?

My suggestion for this dilemma would be- Be religious about carrying ear pro. 300 win mag with brake.

Force = Mass x Acceleration

The undeniable truth of recoil.

Heavier gun, suppressor, etc help. Muzzle brake if you don't value your hearing (wouldn't waste my money).

Accelerate a certain mass of bullet to a certain speed and you have recoil no matter the caliber. Heavier bullet, more recoil. Accelerate a bullet faster, more recoil.

Higher bullet speed OR higher bullet weight, pick one. Can't have both.

Suggest getting your bride a gun that:
1) Is lightweight, that she can carry/hold/hike in for hours and that she can legitimately hols to shoot off-hand without need the crutch of shooting sticks because you don't always have time to f- with them
2) Smaller caliber, shooting a well-made lighter bullet
3) Best recoil pad you can get
4) Perhaps a small suppressor-- lower recoil AND noise

I realize that bigger dia bullet equals more recoil . She has a Ruger m77 in 270 that she has killed lots of stuff from deer to oryx with. And she has a 6.5 x 300m wby mag that she does pretty well with. I am looking and might I add blindly for something for moose for her.

Shoot the moose with a 270 150gr partition. And then put another one in it and watch it fall.
