REMINGTON Left hand 1187. This Gun is very rare in this configuration. It has the Light contour 28" barrel with enhanced engraved receiver. I had to special ordered and had it shipped to my dealer back in the day. I also had him switch the safety to a right hand. The wood is in great shape the blueing on receiver has some minor handing scratches. Mostly been setting in safe. I can email more picture if needed.

did your gunsmith use a different safety in order to switch it to right handed? if so do you still have the left-handed safety?

He switched the whole trigger group assembly. I don't have any other parts. I grew up shooting right-handed safety's and had got so used to them. I just count get used to left hand safety's. With that said it can easily be converted to left Hand with Left hand conversion kit . If you want I can order the parts have them installed.
Her is kit at midway USA

it's my understanding on an 1100 it takes a full trigger group. The RH and LH groups are slightly different

I called my Gun smith to check into it. Although you can use the fotmanns safety I had linked it is a plastic safety and he was not to found of this. He also highly suggested I not sell a left hand gun with right hand safety for liability reasons. He has a Remington left-hand trigger group. Apparently these are hard to find so I am lucky he has one. I am going to get it swapped out tonight. I will eat the cost of this. So yes, now the Gun will be sold with Left hand Remington trigger group.

definitely will make it more desirable to a left-handed shooter and yes those left-handed trigger groups are almost impossible to find.

Man I have the identical gun in right hand and I have been shooting it for 30 years, just decided to retire it last year as it is not holding extractors after all the rounds I have put it through. Such a great gun and I struggle to shoot nearly anything else as well.

Absolutely beautiful condition gun. I bought one of these last fall off a guy from LRH, not quite as clean as this one but close. While I absolutely love my Fabarm XLR5 waterfowler, my 11-87 is my go to for Sporting clays and upland birds. Wish I could justify this as a backup, but I'm after the needle in the haystack. The exact gun but in a 20 gauge. Whatever lefty gets this will be a happy camper. Arguably in my opinion the best left hand auto ever produced and I have owned all the different lefty autoloaders GLWS.

Thanks for the bump. I will probably regret selling it someday. I just don't get to use it anymore. I sure miss having the Remington factory a few hours from my house.
