What are y’all using for boot grease to waterproof (water resist) your leather boots now that winter is here?

I’ve used obenauf's oil and wax, snow seal, renapur, etc. Haven’t found one that I was really happy with. Waxes push out of the leather too fast so I can’t see ever using a wax again. Just curious what others use.

I’m going to try Huberds shoe oil next.

Not concerned about darkening as I always buy dark brown boots. The darker the better.

I use fluid film , spray on , wait 10 , wipe it down
Never heard of this but it has me intrigued. I think I will try it.

Obenaufs Works for me. I hit it with a heat gun on low to get it to Soak in. Careful. Needs to be low so you don’t melt the glue or anything on your boots. I will give it a generous coat And then wipe off. I repeat 1-2x and they stay good for me.

I’ve used snow seal, Montana pitch blend, and obenaufs. I use obenaufs exclusively now but I wouldn’t shrug if I had to use Montana pitch blend. Rather than using heat, I apply with my hands which has enough heat to work it in imo. I’ve also used a hairdryer.
