Any LEO folks out there got recommendations on boots? New job, department issued a voucher and these are the requirements and local vendors. I’ll be on my feet 12-16 hours a day.

If you're gonna be mostly indoors on concrete I would stress that you get high quality cushioning. Bates Durashocks are pretty good in that aspect

I'd get the cushiest lowest breathable polishable toe I can find. Basically as close to an ultra cushion cross trainer. The two best pairs of duty boots I had were a lightweight pair from under armour and an insulated psuedo pac boot from Oakley.

I’ve had 5.11s, Danners, under armor, and Lowa’s over the last 11 years. 5.11’s and Under Armors were junk. The danners I have are the Acadia’s and had them for around 8 years. Nice boots just heavy. Need new soles. The Lowa Zephyrs are my favorites though. Good support, held up pretty good so far. Pretty much a beefed up sneaker.

I have the Hanwag Special Forces GTX and i really like them. It should meet all the requirements. I moved to Hanwag after wearing Lowa and Asolo for years. I don't wear them for work (non-uniform fed agency) but I have worn them hiking and during multi-week tactical training courses and they are very comfortable and light enough to run in. I use a set of blue Superfeet insoles and can wear them 12+ hours without any fatigue. They are pricy but I prefer Hanwag as their Vibram rubber soles grip wet surfaces (like wet metal stairs and scaffolding) much better than Lowa soles do. You can also get them in the leather-lined LX model instead of GTX and your feet will breathe much better than the GTX model.

Ended up getting a cheaper pair of light weight Danners. Local stores didn’t have much variety in stock, but the voucher covered the boots, superfeet insoles, extra laces and tub of polish. Thanks guys.👍🏻

salomon forces quest 4d gtx. Wore Danner Acadias for years before and the Salomons are way better cushion and feet feel great after a day's works.

Do yourself a favor and throw a set of sheepfeet in. I run a set with my Danner's and its fantastic. Especially on accidents or long scenes when standing around for hours.
